Open the Qur'an
Eight weeks. Two minutes a day to start. A gentle way back into daily Qur'an. Read it, listen to it, or read the translation. It all counts.
Free for life.
Start smaller than you think you should
If you're anything like me, you want to spend more time with the Qur'an. Most of us don't stop reading because we decided to. We drift, and we lose the habit, and it becomes a little tougher to stay consistent. That's why I built this app to be something like a Couch to 5k but for the Qur'an.
So the first week asks for two minutes of your time. Not a page, not a juz'. Hopefully that's short enough to make the first week feel almost too easy. From there the daily target grows slowly, week by week, until you're reading for around twenty minutes (or a shorter length that you feel is more appropriate.
How it works
- Choose how you want to engage — Arabic, recitation, translation, or Arabic and translation together. You can switch at any time, mid-session.
- Start at two minutes a day. Week one is meant to feel almost too easy.
- The target grows over eight weeks, up to around twenty minutes.
- Miss a day and nothing is lost. Pick back up wherever you left off.
What it doesn't do
There are no streaks, no leaderboards, no badges to earn, and no countdown timers while you read. Nothing in the app will tell you off for missing a day. This app should exist only to make it easier for you to spend time with the Qur'an.
Your reading stays yours
You don't need to create an account account and there's no need to sign-in. What you've read, how long for, and your place in the Qur'an is stored on your phone and nowhere else. Nothing is uploaded. More on privacy.
