Privacy
Open the Qur'an collects nothing about you. There's no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no server holding your data. This page explains what that means in practice.
What's stored, and where
Your daily target, which week you're on, how long you've read, your position in the Qur'an, and your settings are all stored locally on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app removes all of it permanently.
What I can see
Nothing. I have no way of knowing who has installed the app, how often it's opened, what anyone reads, or whether anyone uses it at all, beyond the aggregate download counts Apple and Google show every developer.
Third parties
The Arabic text, translations and audio recitation are fetched from external public sources as you read. Those requests come from your device and, like any web request, will include your IP address and a note of which verse was requested. I don't operate those services, don't receive anything from them, and can't see those requests.
There are no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting and no social media integrations in the app.
Notifications
Reminders are deliberately scheduled on your device itself rather than sent from a server, so no push token or device identifier is registered anywhere. If you turn reminders off, nothing is scheduled.
Children
The app is suitable for any age and collects no personal information from anyone.
This website
This site has no analytics and sets no cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google when the page loads.
Changes and contact
If this ever changes — for instance if a future version adds an optional account — this page will be updated before that version ships. Questions to support.
